Car park terms and conditions of use

By entering the car park, all users agree to abide by the terms and conditions of Marlborough Airport Ltd (MAL) and any future amendments published by MAL. All airport users are also expected to abide by New Zealand law, road code and posted signage.

Cars are parked at owner’s own risk. MAL accepts no responsibility for loss, theft, or damage to any vehicle or its contents.

MAL has no liability for personal injury. The airport is not liable for any injury to persons using the car park, except where required by New Zealand law.

MAL has no responsibility for weather or environmental damage. The airport is not responsible for damage caused by weather, natural events, wildlife or environmental conditions.

Car park users agree to licence plate reader and compliance with airport instructions. All users must have a legible and undamaged licence plate for the camera and recognition system to operate correctly. Car park users must also comply with posted signage, road markings, and instructions from authorised airport personnel.

MAL retains the right to move or remove abandoned vehicles. The airport may move, tow, clamp or remove any vehicle in breach of these conditions of use. The airport may also move vehicles illegally parked, obstructing operations, or deemed to be abandoned after long storage, leaking dangerously and/or without current registration or warrant of fitness. All associated towing costs are the responsibility of the vehicle owner.

Car park users must pay all applicable parking fees prior to leaving the car park. Help buttons are located at all exits and pay machines to assist with payment and exiting. Failure to pay may result in enforcement action, additional charges, or vehicle removal.

Car park users agree to time limits and overstay charges. The first 30 minutes is free behind the barrier arm in both the short-term and long-term car parks. Vehicles parked beyond the paid or 60 days permitted period (unless by prior arrangement) may incur overstay fees or penalties.

Activities outside of airport parking are prohibited. Sleeping in campers and vehicles, conducting repairs, storing goods, or using the carpark for any purpose other than airport parking is prohibited.

MAL is not responsible for third‑party actions. The airport is not liable for damage or loss caused by other carpark users, contractors, or third parties.
